WHY THE FRIESIAN SPORTHORSE?

Originally, we had purchased a package of Friesian Haflingers youngsters from Jim & Lois Sawatsky from Humbolt, SK. We liked them so much, we decided to buy another group the following year. It was the next spring that Jim & Lois approached us to take over their breeding program.

While both the Friesian and the Haflinger breeds share some great characteristics like, great personalities, friendliness, the willingness to work with and for their people, and their great minds; we love the elegance and the class that the Friesian brings, along with their leg action, their size, and the bone structure. The Haflingers brings heart and hardiness, along with their calm demeanor. The mix of their size gives us a horse that's very user friendly for a wide range of people.

We have since, hand selected a few other mares to add to our breeding program to diversify. We currently have a Cleveland Bay x TB mare, Clydesdale mares, Friesian x Percheron x TB mare, and our latest addition is a APHA mare. These crosses result in some very athletic, elegant moving, pleasant and loveable horses.

Our horses have excelled in many ways, including cart and sleigh driving, dressage, working equitation, trail riding, ranch horses and mountain horses.
